Fruit and Vegetable smoothies are great ways to get lots of vitamins and minerals, especially into your kids. There is no right or wrong way, there are tons of smoothie recipes out there. I make one every morning for the boys and I. It's a great way to mask certain supplements that wouldn't taste great alone. For example:
~flax meal: great source of Omega 3
~probiotic powder: great for immunity and digestion and it adds great healthy bacteria to your body
and lots more
Here's a sample smoothie I make every morning:
about 1c rice, almond or soy milk
mixed frozen berries
Smoothies are delicious and kids love them, they are a great way to start your day and its feels great knowing your children are filled with healthy foods!
